IT IS NOT ACCEPTING THE STATUS QUO.
It may mean the opposite side: sacrificing your life or suffering in order to change what needs to be changed.
God often calls surrendered people to do battle on his behalf.
SURRENDERING IS NOT FOR COWARDS OR DOORMATS.
Every girls and women dream is to be beautiful. Hahaha, ngaku laah!! But as Christians, we should not focus on our outer beauty, but more our inside. I have learns that outside beauty manipulates the truth. Our outside beauty doesn't define the truth of our beauty and quality. Outside beauty doesn't bare things as everlasting as our inside does. It's ruined by the sun, dries by the weather, it pimples by dirt, it wrinkles by age, it's the end if a car crashes you.. lol. But our inside, this is what really define your beauty quality. Our inner strength is our real and endless beauty. It forgives people, it loves our enemy, it bares going thru the pain, it puts together again when it's broken down.
Thru this make-up session we could see, we need to be make-up-ed by God, one of many other good reasons is to reveal our inside beauty. Surrendering to the make up artist doesn't mean we 'give' our face and we do whatever things we like. It doesn't mean that we sleep thru while we're make-up-ed. We still ought to do our part: to be awake, stand still, and obey what the make-up artist tells us to do (open/ close our eyes, n blabla). We ought to concentrate in it, we just have to leave behind all other personal-important things that we need to do.
The more we let God take us over, the more truly ourselves become – because He made us.
The best make-up artis of us, who knows what foundation would match our skin colour, best colour-combinations that would suit our face, is our creator (of course!!).
Surrendering is best demonstrated with obedience. When we're worked thru the make-up session, you have to be totally surrendered. First because the make-up artist can't work well if you don;t surrender, and two, because you're not the make-up artist!!! The more we obey our make-up artist, the better they can work thru us. The understanding is as easy as that.
Another aspect of a fully surrendered life is trust. Abraham followed God's leading without knowing where it would take him. Hannah waited for God's perfect timing, without knowing when. Mary expected a miracle without knowing how. Joseph trusted God's purpose without knowing why circumstances happened the way the did.
