Easter Blessing - Live Surprised

Warning: this message is full of abundant blessings, joy, courage and faith. Read it only if you think you're ready for them all!

I promised that I am going to share the blessing to you all my dear friends, so here you go. It's a long one - long of blessings! This post is adopted from the preacher's CD right away- I bought the CD after I have listened to him, it was so great. It was the Hillsong Easter celebration on Sunday Morning service. So, the term "I" is the preacher, not me, I'm not a preacher. Lol. Enuf introoo.. here hereeee:

Live Surprised. How long since, something surprising that God did has happened in your life? I couldn't think of anything worse than Christianity just to be just what's expected, what's you deserved, what's predictable, what's believable.

Everything about the message that we're celebrating to day representing the unexpected, He lives from the death. Already in the grave in two days. Unbelievable and unexpected in term of undeserved.

Mark 16: 6
He said, "Don't be alarmed. I know you're looking for Jesus the Nazarene, the One they nailed on the cross. He's been raised up; he's here no longer. You can see for yourselves that the place is empty.

Mark 16: 8
So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said
nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

When anything amazing happen in your life, when did anything so surprising? Do you know that the bible is full of surprises? It's just full of surprise!
  • Luke 1 - Gabriel told Zacharia that he and his wife was gonna to have a child even though the fact of their age, it is impossible to have one! Zacharia went mute because he didn't believe it.
  • Jesus himself it was surprised for Marry and Joseph, knowing that mary wasn't his wife yet. He was surprised.
  • Acts 12 - Peter was in jail and a constant prayer was offered for him to be released. God answered their prayer and Peter was released by an angel who walked him past the first guard and then the second, they came to the Iron Gate. When Peter reached the house where the prayer was offered, and knocked on the door, Rodha was to come to the door to see who it was. When she heard Peter's voice, she DIDN'T open the door coz she was too surprised and overjoyed that she ran inside to tell the people that Peter was outside. And guess what? Even his friends who raised a constant prayer to God thought she was crazy and hallucinating things! It was easier for Peter to went through those guards and gates rather going through a normal door. It was easier for Peter to get out of the jail than going to the prayer meeting.
Sometimes we're praying, we're believing but we're not ready with God's surprise. Well, get ready for the surprise.

God must bring an element of surprise into your life.

I pray that you live your live surprised. What would you believe in this Easter time that God could do to surprise you? The whole thing about resurrection was predicted, spoken off, prophesied in old and new testament, and yet those who love the most and believed the most were.. surprised, astonished and full of fear. I just believe that God would do something astonishing for you. I pray that you got that astonishing concept of God. Let's never get in to some level of Christianity and things are all happen then. We reflect on it only. I pray that Easter time you still got expectation of God's surprise and resurrection power of God to bring surprise into your life.

Do you know the very nature of surprise is, it's not expected. I mean if it's expected, it's not surprised. You know the good thing about surprised in undeserved. If you work the whole week day and nite, and on Friday as was arranged the boss gives you the wage, wasn't as surprised, you get what you deserved. But what if he came to you at the end of the week and you've done nothing, you don't work for him and he gave you a wage, then that's a surprise. Coz it's undeserved. The greatest thing about resurrection is that all about what we don't deserved. What we do deserve is in judgement and sin. And the resurrection of Jesus is all about what you don't deserved.

The whole point of Christ and Easter message is what surprising is unexpected, undeserved even tho it was spoken.

Wonder why this the angel was not surprised? I tell you why, coz he's an angel. He's supernatural, he expects the supernatural, he came with the supernatural message. So for him, it was something usual, not surprisingly.

But of course of we're on our end, our side of mortality the fact that Jesus died with the very large stones in front of the guarded is now empty is something to be relatively you're surprised about.

Let us be people who never loose sight of the supernatural, who have expectation for the supernatural, who believe of the unpredictable. Everything about Jesus is unpredictable. The second coming unpredictable, no one knows, no predict, no date, no year.

Don't live your Christian life with the sense of predictability because it's about the unexpected, what's unpredictable, what undeserved, unbelievable.

Let's believe that kind of experience where we live unpredictable, the unbelievable, undeserved, unexpected.

Sometimes we need to strip up our faith, to live in the edge of the unexpected. Believe God for the undeserved, unexoected, unbelievable.. so many of attributes of God were in that resurrection. Which was so supernatural, so surprising, I mean astonishing.

When you look the various attributes of God that it represents:
  • God's power means He can.
  • God's heart means He cares.
  • God's grace means undeserved favour - grace went to the cross on Friday and released to us on Sunday. Grace blesses, God blesses.
  • God's promise represent God's will

He can, He cares, He blesses, He says.

And if you believe in the resurrection of life then what you believe that God can, cares, blesses and says. Behind the resurrection is the same God across the life.

Are you expecting the unexpected, believe the unpredictable, you resurrection of the unbelievable. Do you feel you live in life that you deserved?

Resurrection Sunday means live to defy the plausible (means provable). Nothing plausible about someone died and risen. I respect science but I don't want it to rule the parameter of my life. I pray it doesn't rule yours and theology because everything is about that Easter message is implausible, it's not very scientific. There's nothing scientific about the work of Jesus Christ.

If you can sit in either side of the cynic (means pessimist, sceptic) - in the side of respect, or you can sit in the side of ridicule (means fool). I don't wanna sit on the side of cynic because the nature about cynicism reduces down the implausible, reduces down the supernatural the unbelievable, the unlikely, and the unexpected. Friends, let's live our life even if it means ridicule believing the power of God, the resurrection power of God could turn people around. I pray that you live a life to defy the p-l-a-u-s-i-b-l-e .

I speak God's surprises into your life today.

You can see dead thing comes into life. Your hope, condemned seeing the fact. Keeps your dreams of live, it ain't over. God can make life out of dead things. I t a i n ' t o v e r .

What have you believed that has died? I pray the spirit of surprise to fill you life. Let us live the life what's normal to God and the Rome of supernatural to keep filling our life ... surprised!
