We heard many times that people (or friends) tell us, "Don't ever change", "stay you", and JoeyMcintyre sang in one of his song, "And I hope you always stay the same,cuz there's nothin' 'bout you I would change."
Btw it is a nice song.
On a brighter note, it is a pleasant thing to hear them, more or less means they kinda like you.. haha! However, not sure how my brain got started to think about it.. I don't think we should stay the same. Don't you think it's 'unhealthy' to say the same you all around? And I think it is a selfish thing to ask to others to stay the same because they make us feel happy/ comfy as the way they are at that very moment. It is like asking someone to live as the living plant that does not grow by giving them special treatment so they look as good as that v moment - and they live as an object of affection instead of living (anyone know what's the plant name? Pls tell - so frustrated trying to remember it at 1.45am)
I did demand someone to stay the same
and now I realized that I was a selfish.
I am sorry.
I met a friend who I have not met for a while and mostly she is not much differ from the last time I saw her, and it adds on to my thought on this matter. How it is not suppose to be like that - it is wrong.
Before you add anything, I know there must be this question how can we be recognised as us then? I mean when I met my girls last year and spent a night with them, it was sssssooooooooooooo good to know that they are them that I used to know. Btw, I supper miss you girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And of course you don't wanna marry a person and the next 10 years you're not sure who is lying next to you. Lol.. what a nite mare that comes true.
So maybe we do have to and need to change to a better us. That is changing our bads to good, and build what we havent. However though (can we put however + though? *so oot!!), keep up with the good ones and do improve. That way people and loved ones will still know that we are who we are =) Agree?
I read a friend blog, it was of something else and he wrote, "for things to change, I have to change".
So please friends, don't stay the same and be the best of the you you can be ^^
