A day worth 19 Yuan

When I went out this avo, my wallet kept only 19 Yuan (AUS$ 6.33). Why 19 Yuan? Just what's left =) Had a big lunch of Chicken Rice + Veg + Soup that cost me 8 Yuan, I got 11 Yuan left. Got sick of shopping, so I decided to wonder around to those places around my campus that I haven't been to. So I walked through the subway and got out on the other side of the exit.

Nothing much there - except shops. Did I tell you GZ is like a huge never ending shopping area? Lol. Anyway I decided to go on on my little tour. Lucky I only had 11 Yuan so I won't dare to shop - see & touch only. Kekeke. Then dinner time I headed down to this small eating place and had a really good Pork & Century Egg Porridge. My Favourite! It was 5 Yuan - 6 Yuan left.

Walked and walked. It got preety cold then I spot on this eating place wif a picture of a small bowl with round white things in it. Hmm.. I saw ginger around it. Note, if one of your senses don't work, maximise ur brain. Kekeke. Hmm, ginger, oh well, I like it, so poped in and like any others beginner in Chinese, I said, 'yao zhe ge' - and pointing out the picture. Preety good huh? Keke, proud of myself.

When it served, my eyes almost pop out! It was my favourite dessert!!! We call it sekoteng in Indo, only I've never had such huge round chewy balls! In Indo the size of the things only as big as peanuts and ones that I had were as big as pingpong balls - and all for myself. Super good. It costs 3 Yuan btw - 3 Yuan left.

On my way back.. saw another good looking meals. Gee u must have been wondering about my hungry eyes huh. Kekeke. It was those Japanese balls wif squid in them, added mayonaise & soy sauce. Yummmiiiiii !! 3 Yuan left, it cost 3 Yuan for 5. I thin it costs around 25 Yuan for 5 in Singapore.

There you go, my day worth of 19 Yuan - that's all you need to survive a day in China.

I am satisfied... and broke.
