The grey marble rather luxurious building doesn't look like a hospital from outside. Inside, its coridor look more like a 4 starred hotel with gold coloured number on each wooden doors. Further inside a room, 3 families were delighting their lunch time, mostly for each other companions. It's funny how strangers in your home country are just strangers but they could be like family in strange places.
Despite all the jokes and laughters around, you'd still sense sparks of sorrows. One has been waiting for 8 months, another for 4 months and another is in a comma after what he had been waiting for had finally arrived; kidney. Two had gone home giving up their hope on transplant after one passed away last week.
Kidney transpant is kinda their hope, to gain back their kidney function - one of the most essentials to live. Other than the waiting period chances, the trans-kidney must match to the planted body. Thus, chances are hard enough. Post operation, is the critical phase, as your body is adjusting to receive the new guy in the system. Some fails.. like one I mentioned before. It's the hope that can kill at the same time. So sad.
They said, even though mathematically, scientifically, everything is expected to be perfect, at the end no one knows. Like the other person who is in a comma, he just didn't gain back his consciousness, despite his health condition is recovering. Strange.
Well, spending my time with them, I learnt alot. Mostly, before it gets too complicated, too uncertain, too much wait, too much sorrows for ur family...... simply do drink lots of waters.
Oh, that's for me too =)
