Mahe was a teenager guy just like other guys (semua laki2 memang sama saja.. *ga nyambung*), except his below face is paralized. It means, he doesn't smile, he doesn't frown, and he even had to hold his lower lip to be able to drink. Because his muscle & nerves around his face are paralyzed, it caused him to never be able to smile (or in other words, to stretch his face), and his below face looked like almost collapse because of the gravity. To 'fix' it, the surgeons had to take some muscles from his thigh and put them around his face from the left ear to the right (trough his lower lip). So the way it worked was like the wooden dolls that are played using ropes to move their feet, head, or hands. You know what I mean...
When I see the show, I again was amazed at the work of The Lord. Man, such little thing (never being noticed muscles) in face could result that much horrify for a person, yet we never really take time to apprectiate this little, un-noticable gifts. You see now that being able to smile (and drink normally), it's such a great gift!!!
So, take time.. and no matter how bad your smile is... smile! *Please smile now* Smile, it's one of the miracle God has created in us.
